What data is collected and why

Mailing list sign-up

If you sign up to the mailing list, your email address is collected and stored with Kit (Kit.com, a product of ConvertKit LLC). This is used only to send infrequent updates about gigs, recordings, and news. The legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See Kit's privacy policy for details of how they handle data.

Contact enquiries

If you contact Dave by email or WhatsApp (details on the Contact page), any personal information you include — such as your name, email address, or phone number — is used only to respond to your enquiry. It is not added to any mailing list without your explicit agreement. The legal basis is legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Website hosting

This site is hosted by Netlify. Netlify may process your IP address as part of delivering web pages. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.

Third-party content — YouTube and SoundCloud

The Music section of this site includes embedded content from YouTube and SoundCloud. This content is not loaded automatically — you need to click the play button to activate it. When you do, your browser connects directly to YouTube (Google LLC) or SoundCloud, and those services may set cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies:

If you prefer not to load content from these services, simply don't click the play buttons. All music is also available directly on YouTube and SoundCloud.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies itself. No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies are used. The only cookies that may be set are those placed by YouTube or SoundCloud if you choose to activate the embedded players (see above).

How long data is kept

Email addresses on the mailing list are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact enquiries are kept for as long as they are relevant to the enquiry, and deleted thereafter.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw consent at any time (for mailing list sign-up)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@davearrowgtr.com.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how your data is handled, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — the UK's data protection regulator — at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
